Meet Our Baby Girl!

Last night Marielle gave birth to our gorgeous baby girl. Here is a short slideshow with some pictures we took early this morning.

Ways to induce labor

So if anyone is checking our blog, I know it is because they are hoping that we have had our baby by now. Sad story but no baby yet! So here is what we did today. There are some ways to naturally induce labor, drinking castor oil, eating spicy food, going on really long walks, etc. Out of all of those things, going on a walk sounded like the most enjoyable. So today Sam and I went on a really long walk, hoping to bring on the labor! We had a nice walk and took Brody-it is really beautiful here right now and I'm excited for this time of year when everything is so beautiful! Here are some pictures of our walk...

39 Week Ultrasound

So our doctor wanted us to have another ultrasound this week because she said that Marielle was measuring small and she just wanted to make sure that everything was fine. Good news, the ultrasound went great and the baby is doing really well. She said that it has chubby fingers and Marielle's nose. If you look hard during the video, you can see it's face! We can't wait to meet you, baby Hayes, hurry up!

Body World

Last week we went to an exhibit that we both had been wanting to see- BODY WORLDS! It's an exhibit that our friends had told us about where they take bodies that have been donated to science and "plastinate" them, pose them and put them out for all to see. Basically all you need to know is that we looked at a bunch of dead people and here are the pictures. By the end I wanted to throw up!

39 weeks and counting

Guess what everyone...I'm still pregnant! The doctors told me I would have the baby way early but here I am still at 39 weeks and STILL pregnant. I feel really good but Sam and I can't wait to meet the new addition to our family! Here is a picture of me in all of my 39 week glory! Does anyone want to throw out a guess as to when we will have our baby?

Welcome to the world, Ruby!

Warning...the following pictures are NOT of our baby! Don't freak out! Jeff and Harriet had their little baby girl on September 12th. Her name is Ruby Nora Hayes and she is adorable! She weighed 6 lbs, 5oz and was 17" long when she was born. She made her big debut at Heather's birthday party the other night. We all got to hold her. Levi loves his little sister!
Everyone came over to our place to celebrate Heather's big day and we had a good time eating the best cake ever from Costco. The frosting on this thing is at least 4 inches thick! Yummy!
