Quintessential Reno Guy

This weekend we spent some time in Reno, and after much searching found what we believe to be the "Quintessential Reno Guy"! First of all, he was driving one of coolest Ferrari's ever built straight from 1982. Second, he was sporting what appeared to be a well groomed mustache as well as sun glasses he stole from a "Top Gun" movie set. Third, he was in some kind of blue spandex vest with matching blue gloves. Let's not forget his stylish matching blue choker!

At first we were somewhat taken back by the trendsetting style of this chic metrosexual guy, but later agreed that he was probably on his way to a senior citizen facility to drop his drawers to show off a matching blue thong.

P.S. This guy was NOT camera shy!

WANTED FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER

(the actual AP headline, this is a real story)

Linda Burnett, 23, a resident of San Diego, was visiting her in- laws
in Los Angeles and, while there, went to a nearby supermarket to pick up some groceries.

Several people noticed her sitting in her car with the windows rolled up and with her eyes closed, with both hands behind the back of her head.

One customer who had been at the store for a while became concerned and walked over to the car. He noticed that Linda's eyes were now open, and she looked very strange. He asked her if she was okay, and Linda replied that she'd been shot in the back of the head, and had been holding her brains in for over an hour. The man called the paramedics, who broke into the car because the doors were locked and Linda refused to remove her hands from her head.

When they finally got in, they found that Linda had a wad of bread dough on the back of her head. A Pillsbury biscuit canister had exploded from the heat, making a loud noise that sounded like a gunshot, and the wad of dough hit her in the back of her head. When she reached back to find out what it was, she felt the dough and thought it was her brains. She initially passed out, but quickly recovered and tried to hold her brains in for over an hour until someone noticed and came to her aid.

What about Shepard Fairey?

If everyone hates Anthony Micallef (two people whose opinions I don't regard as important), what do you think about Shepard Fairey? Just kidding you two. No seriously though, I don't care what you think. Just kidding.

Check out the detail below (see the signed check in the collage):

Anthony Micallef

So if you haven't heard, Marielle and I have had some fun buying art recently. Ok. I have had some fun buying art recently. I just got this print in, and I really like it a lot. Marielle on the other hand hates it! So my question to anyone who has no life and actually looks at our blog is: Do you like my Bomber Girl (majority rules here, sorry Marielle)?

Happy Belated 4th of July

So it's a month late but I'm just getting around to posting our exciting pictures! We had a great 4th and celebrated it with friends and family. We went to Piedmont's 4th of July parade and then had dinner in the park with Heather, Mayra, Jentri, Shane and Scott. We missed Jeff and Harriet but hopefully next year they will join us! We watched the fireworks from the hill up by our house. It was pretty cool because we could see 5 different firework shows all at once. Here are some pictures of our day....
A sweet Rolls Royce at the Piedmont Parade.

Uncle Sam showed up for the parade, as well!

It was a super hot day! Brody wasn't too happy about the heat!

This is our friend Anthony's truck. He's fixed it up and it looked awesome for the parade!

Sam and Shane look really intimidating!
